The oak trees are blooming! What? I didn’t see any flowers on the oak tree, do they bloom? Oh yes, those long tassels visible now are part of the flowers. The pollen (think male) is most noticeable on the tassels, and the female flower parts, closer to the branch, will receive the pollen and form an acorn.
