Wimberley Valley Spirits, the liquor store on Ranch Road 12 and Brookhollow Drive, caught fire on Sunday, June 1, for the second time in a week.
This fire burned the main room, an area that was left untouched by flames during the first fire. It started at around 9 a.m.
The room received fire, smoke and water damage and took firefighters about an hour and a half to put out.
“It’s under investigation,” Hays County Fire Marshal Mark Chambers said. “I can’t tell you if it’s suspicious. I can’t tell you if it’s accidental... We are not sure if it could be some type of smoldering blow-in attic insulation that was just covered for a week or what. That’s what we are trying to find out, if it was accidental or intentional.”
