Murder victim named, warrant issued and manhunt ensues

According to police, an arrest warrant has been issued for the murder of Johnny Lee Saxon, 47, of Driftwood.
Authorities believe that Saxon was shot and killed by Louis Antonio Ramos Jr., of Driftwood, at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in a home at 400 Todo Lane in the Rolling Oaks subdivision.
Police were called to the home for an assault in progress and arrived to find Saxon shot in the chest. Ramos fled the scene in a brown van. The van was recovered in the woods a short distance away, but Ramos has not been found. Authorities are searching the wooded area and have brought a K-9 unit in to assist.
A press release issued by the Hays County Sheriff's Office stated that Ramos had been shot twice and is believed to be armed with an unknown weapon.
A press conference has been scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in San Marcos. Updates will be given soon after.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Todo Lane in Driftwood, Texas, in reference to a possible sighting of the vehicle driven by the suspect involved in this case. Officers responded and found the vehicle secreted in a wooded area. The vehicle was secured and is being processed as evidence. The suspect:
Louis Antonio Ramos Jr, H/M , date of birth 02-16-1987
has not been located. A warrant has been issued for him for the murder of:
Johnny Lee Saxon, H/M, date of birth 11/16/1966
We are asking for the public’s help in the apprehension of Louis Ramos. (See attached photograph.) He has an EXTENSIVE criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. Please notify 911 immediately if you have any information regarding this case or Mr. Ramos’ whereabouts.
There will be a media conference at 12:30 p.m. today at the Hays County Sheriff’s Office located at 1307 Uhland Road, San Marcos, Texas. The information released thus far will be presented during the conference.
