Local girl selected as US Emerging Athlete

Alexandra Dishman, a 12-year-old local pony rider who is garnering attention region-wide, was selected for the United States Hunter Jumper Association’s Emerging Athletes Program.
The selection process for this program for national equestrian athletes entailed a written exam, letters of recommendation, history of involvement in the show ring, involvement in the hunter/jumper industry, outside interests, scholastic achievements as well as future goals.
