Water is in short supply: New WISD buildings get needed change to differ from fire code

The city of Wimberley approved a new method for the Wimberley Independent School District to provide adequate water supply for fire prevention on two new buildings currently under construction.
WISD is building a new field house for the football stadium and a new administration building at the old Annex.
The two buildings would not be able to get enough water to fire hydrants in order to meet the city’s requirements for fire protection due to the size and capability of the water lines. There simply wasn’t enough available water.
