July 4th means busy weekend:Parade, VFW Rodeo and Market Days converge on Wimberley

Wimberley’s Independence Day celebration will begin on Thursday, July 3, when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. at Veteran Park, 401 Jacob's Well Rd. for the 69th Annual VFW Rodeo.  Mutton busting, bull riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing are just a few of the exciting events to take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th.  
Tickets may be purchased at the gate on the thre nights of the rodeo - July 3, 4 and 5.
July 4’s activities will begin with the down-home charm of the Wimberley 4th of July Parade winding through the Wimberley downtown area beginning at FM 2325 and Green Acres. It's a red, white and blue flag-waving celebration of our nation's independence.
