Building permits show local economy growing

Many indications show that the economy within the city of Wimberley has rebounded well, though officials are still “cautiously optimistic” of the recovery.
Since Jan. 1, the amount of building permits on residential properties is on tract to top last year’s number. Year to date, 52 residential permits have been issued for a value of $7.9 million. The total for 2013 as a whole was 71 permits totaling $7.7 million in residential permits.
