Wimberley High School has new principal

Wimberley High School now has a new man in charge.
Principal Greg Bonewald would have entered his ninth year running WHS, but he was offered a position in Victoria Independent School District as the assistant superintendent.
“Greg had the opportunity to take an assistant superintendent position at Victoria ISD,” Superintendent Dwain York said. “We really hated losing him, but he’s being able to move forward. His professional goal is to be a superintendent, and so this was a good opportunity for him to move forward. He was an excellent principal.”
Replacing Bonewald will be long time Wimberley ISD employee Jason Valentine, who will move from the Wimberley Junior High School Principal position.
