Hays County Judge Cobb recommends 2015 budget

Hays County Judge Bert Cobb, presented a recommended Fiscal Year 2015 budget of $155,550,812, while maintaining the current tax rate of .4690. The current FY 2014 County budget is approximately $154 million.
The Commissioners Court also scheduled public workshops to discuss proposed expenditures with elected officials and department heads and make suggested changes to the recommended budget. The county’s fiscal year begins Oct. 1, 2014, and by law the Commissioners Court must approve a budget and set the tax rate for the County by Sept. 30.
