Wimberley man killed in car crash

William Jackson, 63, of Wimberley, was killed by a car crash early Wednesday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, Jackson was driving a 1999 Acura car on County Road 1492, one mile south of Wimberley.

At approximately 12:19 a.m., Jackson’s car went off the roadway and onto the shoulder. Jackson lost control of the vehicle sending it into a “side spin,” according to a DPS communications officer. The car then struck a tree causing it to flip and land upside down.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Andy Cable.
