Lightning strike in Bee Cave sends three children to hospital

A lightning strike at the Lake Travis Youth Association Field of Dreams in Bee Cave on Highway 71, near Hamilton Pool Road, sent three children to the hospital last week, one in a life threatening condition.
“There was a lightning strike a few miles ahead of the storm, on Tuesday,” Rick Rutledge with the Austin/Travis County EMS said. “It was real light cloud cover, and the lightning hit one child and injured two other children.”
