The Wimberley Texan football team took a tough loss to La Vernia last week and will face an improved Giddings Buffaloes team this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The game will be the first away game of the season for the Texans.
Junior quarterback Kyle Jones only threw 11 passes in Giddings’ first game, but managed to make three touchdown-scoring throws. With only seven completions, Jones threw for 239 yards, a 34.1-yard average per completion. He also threw one interception. This is Jones second year at the helm of the Buffaloes. He threw seven touchdowns versus three interceptions last season while starting all nine games as a sophomore.
