In seven or eight months, Wimberley residents could be shopping at their own local H-E-B.
The H-E-B grocery store that was approved amidst much public debate by the Wimberley City Council in January will officially break ground on Sept. 18 with the beginning of demolition starting that afternoon. The store is expected to be complete by late spring 2015.
“The Wimberley H-E-B is the result of two years of collaboration with city leaders and residents so we could meet the needs of this Hill Country community,” Leslie Sweet, H-E-B director of Public Affairs for Central Texas, said.
