Central Texas received its hardest rain in months late last week after rain started late Wednesday and continued through Sunday in much of the Hill Country.
Wimberley showed solid rainfall numbers throughout the week, but not as high as other potions of the county.
The rain seemed to cluster along the Interstate 35 corridor and the Hays and Travis county line.
“In Hays County it rained right along the Hays Travis border, where there was up to seven inches of rain,” Aaron Treadway, meteorologist for the Austin San Antonio National Weather Service, said. “As you move further south, the totals dropped off to one and a half to two inches. Across the county it was a very good rain, not a drought buster, but the most rain we have seen in at least a few months.”
