Wimberley ask for $5.5 million for sewer system

The city of Wimberley officially put in a request to the Texas Water Development Board for a $5.5 million loan for the Wastewater Treatment plant. They are also considering adding further restrictions to the requested discharge permit.
“The difficulty with this request is that we are applying for money without a firm cost,” Wimberley City Administrator Don Ferguson said.
