Woodcreek proposes tax rate, finds council member for open post

The city of Woodcreek plans to leave the city’s ad valorem tax at the same rate it has been at since 2011. 
“I think keeping the tax rate the same is very important,” Woodcreek Mayor Mike Steinert said. “Personally, I think once you start finding reasons to increase it, it is kind of a slippery slope.”
The tax rate is likely to be set at .135 cents per $100 of property value, which would be about $195 of taxes paid for a property valued at $150,000.
