Hays County Judge Bert Cobb is up for re-election on Nov. 4 and will be running against Democratic challenger Able Velasquez. Cobb spoke at last week’s Wimberley Valley GOP meeting to talk about some local issues.
The first question asked of Cobb was about the Ranch Road 12 construction and why it is being done in small sections as opposed to paving the entire road.
“Chip seal cost $10,000 per mile for a single land,” Cobb explained. “Paving cost $20,000 a linear mile, so to pave it the whole way cost about $6 million. Eventually it will (be paved completely).”
