September 11, Patriots Day, is a day that will not be forgotten. The Veteran’s Memorial Plaza at EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens held a 9 a.m. ceremony honoring the first responders and the heroes of that tragic day. The local VFW Post 6441 hosted the event.
Each of the service branches were honored, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and POW/MIA and had their flags raised during the ceremony.  Van Keese was honored as Patriot of the Year
