PEC planning for lines to Wimberley

Pedernales Electric Cooperative explained to the Wimberley City Council that it needs to upgrade transmission lines to Wimberley in order to supply the necessary amount of reliable power to the city. Concerned residents went to the meeting to learn more about the project saying that they had been unable to find out information from PEC about what was being planned.
Currently, a 69-kilovolt line supplies the city’s power by running from a substation off FM-32, through the hill country and into town.
