Powerlines stopping traffic on RR12

Traffic was stopped on Ranch Road 12 between the intersection of FM 3237 and the Square in both directions for about two hours today.

A large truck caught a power line at about 11:15 a.m. PEC was able to fix the issue with traffic continuing to move in at least one direction. When the truck began to move, it snagged another power line about 100 yards down the road. This line, which at least one person on the scene said they believed was live, fell to about six feet off the ground.

At this point, traffic was stopped in both directions as police literally walked down the road from their previous road block to assist with traffic control.

UPDATE 1:27 p.m.
Pictured is the temporary solution PEC has come up with to allow traffic to continue.

There is currently no information available about potential road closures when crews return to fix the line.
