Letter to the Editor: Thank you from Lions and KWB

The Wimberley Lions and Keep Wimberley Beautiful and the Wimberley community owe a hearty thanks to all who showed up for the roads clean up on the Saturday morning before Easter. They all worked so hard picking up litter and pulling bastard cabbage on any number of roads around Wimberley. We did not accomplish all we had hoped to, but we made a big dent in the litter. By the way, bottles, cans and cigarette cartons still seem to be the majority of items tossed on the roads. We know that litter blows off trucks and other vehicles, but the aforementioned are most probably intentionally tossed. How sad!
