Juniper Budworm plagues area trees

Recently, many have noticed a change in some of the Ashe juniper (commonly called cedar) trees in Hays County. Their foliage has turned brown and the tips seem to be encased in a web-like structure. For some, this might be good news, while others are quite concerned about their juniper trees. The signs that these trees are showing are characteristic of the Juniper Budworm.
