Dwight Matthew Gheen

Dwight Matthew Gheen, 91, passed away May 30, 2014. He joined our Lord and Savior and wife of 66 years, Freda O'Dell Gheen, son, Morris Allen Gheen and three brothers.
He is survived by sister Betty Rose Byrom and four children: Richard and wife Jerre Gheen; Connie and husband Jim Hafer; Carol Gheen; and Angela and husband Bill Price.
His eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren were the love of his life, and he was an active part of their lives untill the end. Words cannot describe how beloved Dwight was by his family, church, community and all whose lives he touched.
He quietly taught and led by example, always giving God the thanks and praise. Our lives will never be the same without you, Daddy.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4 at The Chapel in the Hills in Wimberley.
A graveside service with full military honors was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 5 at the Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, TX. Thomason Funeral Home, Wimberley, TX. (512) 847-2226.
