Cecil Oliver Walker

Cecil Oliver Walker was a lifetime Wimberley resident. He was born in a little house on the banks of the Blanco River on Jan. 20, 1941 and passed away May 30.
He was a true artist, being a rock mason for the majority of his lifetime. He had been fighting cancer for the last two years and fought hard and strong. He was a very brave man. He was loved and respected by many. He is survived by four children, Kathrine Melinda Walker, Katrina Melaine Walker, Cecil Wade Walker and Melia Renee Walker; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Wife Christine Walker, his brother Robert Walker and sister in law Mary Lois Walker and sister Catherine Walker Adams and her husband Ken Adams and many other nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and cousins. He had many friends who will also miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents Ney Walker and Ruth Walker and sister Nadine Smith and granddaughter Destiny Walker. There will be a small graveside service at the Wimberley Cemetery and a memorial celebration at the Devils Backbone Tavern on Sunday June 8 at 4 p.m.
