Alligators find home in Woodcreek

Fishing can be a peaceful, relaxing get away, and that is exactly what Tommy Weyand was doing out in Woodcreek a few weeks ago. At least it was peaceful until there was a large splash in the water near his feet.
For a fisherman, the sound of a large splash can get the adrenaline pumping at the thought of a big fish sitting right at the top of the water. Weyand’s adrenaline surely started pumping, but it was for a different reason. That splash was no fish, it was an alligator. 
“I just saw the water explode at my feet, and I thought it was something big,” Weyand said. “Then he popped his head out of the water.”
