Warren William Wipperman

Warren William Wipperman, 92, of Wimberley, passed away peacefully on June 18.  He was born to Leslie and Edna Wipperman in St. Louis, MO on April 4, 1922.  
He graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. On Oct. 23, 1946 he married Jane Claire Dewinter, and they were in love for more than 60 years. Warren served as the captain of a “sub chaser” in the Pacific front during WW II and continued as a Navy reservist for years afterwards.
Warren’s career was devoted to the printing industry, serving Wagner Printing in St. Louis, MO and Curtis 1000 in Houston.  Warren and Jane lived in Houston from 1964 to 1975, subsequently moving to Simonton, retiring to Wimberley in 2002.
Warren has always been active in the Presbyterian Church, ordained as an Elder, most recently attending Wimberley Presbyterian Church. He had a lifelong love of traveling in the west and riding horses.
Warren is survived by his two children, Susan John and her husband Darrell in Galveston, and Scott  Wipperman and his wife Merilee in Utah, nine grandchildren, and 12 great grand children.  A celebration of Warren’s life will be held at Wimberley Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m.
