Intersection of RR 12, FM 3237 may be widened

The Wimberley City Council approved a conceptual design for the Ranch Road 12 and FM 3237 intersection on the south side of town.
There were two design concepts presented, one with an extended turn lane from the stoplight toward the square and one without.
Either option would require the city to obtain right-of-way from adjacent property owners.
The main reason for the change is to add a right-hand turn lane heading in to town on Ranch Road 12.
“There is a significant staking issue at that traffic light,” Wimberley City Administrator Don Ferguson said. “Sometimes, traffic will be all the way over the bridge.”
