U.S. Senator John Cornyn was the Grand Marshal for the 69th VFW Rodeo on Thursday. Before the rodeo, he spoke about why he decided to come to Wimberley for Independence Day.
“This looked like the best place to be,” Cornyn said. “I’ve never been to this particular rodeo before. I know it’s an annual event. And just being able to welcome some of these wounded warriors from Brooke Army Medical Center and get ready for Independence Day. This is about as patriotic and down home as you can get.”
