Crash claims life on Ranch Road 12

A New Braunfels man lost his life during a motorcycle crash on Ranch Road 12 Friday morning.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, Joshua Benoit, 29, of New Braunfels, was going too fast when he lost control of his 2007 Yamaha around a curve between Wimberley and San Marcos, according to reports. His motorcycle reportedly rolled multiple times after leaving the roadway.
The first call to emergency services came in at 9:48 a.m. Friday, and Benoit was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:30 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Jo Ann Prado.
