Owner of Kim-Soo Karate in Wimberley arrested for Sexual Assault

On Thursday, July 31, 2014, at approximately 12:30 pm, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard Dale Griffin, 60, of Wimberley, for two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child, both second-degree felonies. These arrests stem from an investigation conducted in conjunction with the Comal County Sheriff’s Office. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office also received a report of the incident via a referral from Texas Child Protective Services received on July 24th, 2014. Richard Griffin is the owner of Kim-Soo Karate located in Wimberley. The victim in this case was a student of Griffin’s for approximately 2 years.
The case is currently under investigation. Today, detectives from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office and the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, conducted search warrants at both the residence and business of Griffin in connection to this investigation.
