Norman Nathaniel Coulter

Norman Nathaniel Coulter was born July 2, 1930 in Ashley County, Arkansas to James Frank and Maybelle Rice Coulter, one of seven boys and two girls.  He was raised by his step-mother, Venna Oreta Camp Coulter.
He graduated High School in Gregory, went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Bus Administration.  He was an athlete at heart, participating in five sports and was called “Triple Threat.”  He played worldwide professional fast pitch softball for many years as a pitcher.
He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 in Korea as a Platoon Sergeant.  He was awarded many medals for bravery and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Mary Guyneth Kuenzi Enno

Mary Guyneth Kuenzi Enno died on July 2nd, 2014.  Mary was born in Milwaukee, WI to Margaret and Guy Kuenzi, and moved to Tampa, FL at the age of 3.  After her marriage to Fred Enno, she moved to Houston, TX where she completed a degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Houston. She worked as a Speech Therapist while raising her two sons.   She later became a Special Education Teacher and worked with children with a variety of special needs.  Later in her life, Mary went back to school at SHSU for a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.   She then moved to Lufkin, TX and worked at the Lufkin State School where she retired at the age of 70.

Barbara Joyce Reavis

Barbara Joyce Reavis, 76, of Kyle, TX passed away Sunday, July 20th, surrounded by her adoring family.  Barbara was born in Belcher, LA on February 13, 1938 to Willie and Bessie (Evans) Walker.  

As an educator, Mrs. Reavis worked for several school districts; she had a lifelong passion for missions, and served at the Southern Baptist International Mission Board.  She was a faithful member of the San Marcos First Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  Mrs. Reavis was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Reavis; and brother, Lester Walker.

Judy Diane Pool

Judy went home to be with Jesus on July 4, 2014 at Seton Hays Medical Center in Kyle after a long battle with liver failure due to hepatitis C. She is survived by her sister Jamie Boozer, daughters Jennifer Eckhart and Natalie Eckhart Petersen, her husband of 32 years, William R. “Bill” Pool, and grandchildren, Brenton, Aleigha and Austin.

Lawrence Alfred ‘Larry’ Poirier

Lawrence Alfred “Larry” Poirier, a resident of Austin, passed away June 29, at the age of 83.  He was born Aug. 19, 1930 in Cambridge, Mass. to Adelard Daniel Poirier and Regina Marie LeBlanc Poirier.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Jane, and by their 12 children, 28 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three nephews and a great nephew.  Children are Larry and Susan Poirier of Santa Rosa CA, Anita Poirier of Dripping Springs TX, MaryLou and Brad Nicholls of Santa Rosa CA, Yvonne and Tom James of Moraga CA, Dan and Julie Poirier of Dripping Springs TX, Juliane Poirier of Napa CA, Michael and Mary Poirier of Steubenville OH, Marie and Roland Poirier-Martinsson of Austin, Anne Poirier of Dripping Springs, Paul and Lisa Poirier of Crosslake MN, Tom and Jenny Poirier of Hayden ID, and Greg and Elizabeth Poirier of Kyle.

William E. ‘Bill’ Partin

William E. “Bill” Partin, 89, of Wimberley, TX, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, surrounded by his family.  A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2 in the Thomason Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation and viewing was held one hour prior to service.  A graveside service with full military honors was held at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.  For more information, call Thomason Funeral Home, (512) 847-2226 or sign the guest registry at www.thomasonfuneralhome.com.

Warren William Wipperman

Warren William Wipperman, 92, of Wimberley, passed away peacefully on June 18.  He was born to Leslie and Edna Wipperman in St. Louis, MO on April 4, 1922.  
He graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. On Oct. 23, 1946 he married Jane Claire Dewinter, and they were in love for more than 60 years. Warren served as the captain of a “sub chaser” in the Pacific front during WW II and continued as a Navy reservist for years afterwards.
Warren’s career was devoted to the printing industry, serving Wagner Printing in St. Louis, MO and Curtis 1000 in Houston.  Warren and Jane lived in Houston from 1964 to 1975, subsequently moving to Simonton, retiring to Wimberley in 2002.
