Michael James Teller

Michael James Teller, 41, of Wimberley, residing in San Antonio, passed away in NY on Monday, May 11th 2015.  He was born in NY, on June 15th 1973. He was a devoted son; father, brother, uncle and friend. He was dedicated to loving and helping others.

Michael is survived by his mom & dad Helen & Fred Button, children Billy Michael, Elisabeth (Lizzy) and Cynthia R. of Wimberley.  His siblings Matt, Nathan, and Angie Button and many nieces and nephews.  

A Celebration of his life was held June 13th.

Ann Jeanette Patton

After nearly 14 valiant months of battle against AML, (leukemia)  to “stay on this planet”, Ann Jeanette Patton, nee’ Marantino, 64 of Wimberley, joined the angels above in the early morning hours of Monday, June 15th, with the love of her life by her side.

Ann Jeanette was born December 29th, 1950 in San Antonio to Thomas and Betty Marantino. The first of 3 children, she is survived by her parents and siblings, Steven, (Cheryl) of Colorado and Kathleen, of Arlington.

Also surviving are husband Thomas Patton and son Parker Wright, (Alexandra Williams) of San Marcos, stepdaugher Christine Patton, (Glen) of London, England and her beloved “boys” Akitas, Sam and Max along with a multitude of friends too many to count.

James Robert Gottselig

James Gottselig passed away after a lengthy illness on June 6, at the age of 59, in his adopted hometown of Wimberley, Texas. James is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jean Claire, his mother Jean, his siblings Deborah, Michael, Ann, and Terrie. James was preceded in death by his father, Martin, and brothers, Rick and John. 

James began his professional art career in sign painting, window store displays, hand typesetting, fine art framing, and photography. After receiving a fine arts and graphics design degree in 1979 from the Texas Academy of Art in Houston, James worked as a graphics artist, Illustrator, and art director for Ogilvy & Mather.

D. Larry Thomas

D. Larry Thomas passed away on May 23, 2015.  A service was held on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Wimberley United Methodist Church. Donations may be made in Larry’s honor to The Lions Club at P.O. Box 1749, Wimberley, TX 78676. Before he retired, Larry was in the commercial real estate business.  He loved flying airplanes and playing golf.  Larry spent his early life in the Rio Grande Valley, later moving to Houston.  He raised his family in Dallas and retired to Wimberley.  Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his three children and their spouses, John and Marlena Thomas, Tracy and Kendall Hayworth, and Carrie and Leonard Schilling; his six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cooper, Fisher, Leighton, Grace, and Leo; his brother Chris; and many dear friends.

Betty Nan Landrum Pruitt

Betty Nan Landrum Pruitt, formerly of Lufkin and Wimberley, died June 2, 2015, in San Marcos, Texas.  Betty was born August 25, 1925, in Waco, Texas, to Thomas Howell and Lou Ellen Rountree Landrum.  She grew up in Houston and graduated from Lamar High School in 1942.  Two years later she married Dr. Jack Pruitt, and they had three children, a son and two daughters.  They lived in San Angelo and McAllen before returning to Houston so that Jack could finish his medical residency in pathology.  In 1954 they moved to Lufkin, where he practiced pathology until his death in 1982.

Lana Claybrook

Lana Claybrook , 51, passed away June 5, 2015. She was born August 7, 1963 to the late Vance and Gladys Ruth Claybrook.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Dennis Claybrook. She is survived by her brother Vance Claybrook, Jr. of Refugio; niece Melissa (Valdo)Claybrook DeLaGarza of Houston; nephew Trace (Leslie) Claybrook of Woodsboro,Tx. , Colton Claybrook of Midland, Reed Claybrook of Midland,Texas ; great-niece  and  friend Jane Wyatt of Wimberly, Texas. Visitation will beSunday , June 7, 2015, Moore Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Memorial service will be Monday, June 8, 2014 Moore Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m.

James C. Thomason

James C Thomason, 91, born Nov. 20, 1923, Died May 11, 2015. He is survived by his wife Nita Thomason, his four children, daughters Judy Costello, Janice Jones/husband Jim and sons Jimmy/wife Karen, and Joe/wife Becky Thomason, step-daughter Sherry Priddy, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His life was in service to others. A veteran of WWII and Korea, Houston Police officer and Investigator for the District Attorney’s office. He retired as an investigator for the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office in 1984. Memorial service will be held Sat. June 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Thomason Funeral Home Chapel on RR 12 in Wimberley, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be given in his name to Meals on Wheels, Wimberley.

Martin William Conroy

Martin William Conroy, 72, of Wimberley, Texas, passed away May 17, 2015 in San Marcos, Texas. He was born June 9, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Martin James Conroy and Josephine Theresa Conroy (nee O’Connor).

Martin served in the United States Marine Corp 1960-1964 and he was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal E-6.  He joined the Chicago police force in June of 1966 and retired from service in November of 1995. He was active with the Scouting organizations and served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years at the McKinley Park Post in Chicago. He was an avid reader, Atari and computer enthusiast.

Mildred Roe beloved and cherished mother, grandmother ,great grandmother, sister and aunt passed away May 16,2015,at her home, at the age of 76. 

She was born in Nissouri Canada  to the late Maynard and Margaret Chambers. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence. 

She is survived by her sister Margaret Harburn, brother James Chambers and wife Rosalee ,daughters Denise French and husband Robert, Jennifer Harrison and husband Jack, step daughter Sandy Bearden, god daughter Maggie Wyatt, numerous grand children, great grand children , nieces and nephews.

Clemmie Lee (Egger) New

Clemmie Lee (Egger) New of Wimberley, Texas, beloved wife, mother and grandmother,  passed  away on April 29, 2015, at the age of 75.  She was born February 26, 1940, to O.T. and Emily (Patterson) Egger, in San Marcos, Texas.

Clemmie was an insurance agent for all lines of insurance.  She was a member of the Fischer Agriculture and Bowling Club, Daughters of the Nile, Hays County Historical Commission, Jacobs Well Cemetery Assoc. and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She enjoyed 9-pin bowling, dancing, baking, ancestry and rodeo.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
