Cecil James Stewart

Cecil James Stewart, 70, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2015, after a lengthy illness.  Cecil, was born in Austin on July 10, 1945.  A graduate of Lanier High School in Austin, he spent much of his early career working as a printer for the State of Texas and the University of Texas System. Later he owned and operated small businesses providing printer and copy services. 

Cecil was an avid Elvis enthusiast and enjoyed reminiscing about concerts and shows that he attended as well as listening to his collection of Elvis records. Cecil was also an avid sports fan and supported all Texas sports teams but his favorites were the New York Yankees and Texas Longhorns. His love for baseball expanded into being a baseball card collector where he spent countless hours cataloging his collection.

Darlene Annette Miller

Darlene Annette Miller, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.  Darlene was born on December 26, 1938 in Moscow, Idaho, the daughter of Dorothy Caldwell and Albert Johnston.  She grew up in Idaho, spending much of her youth in the northern part of the state.  She attended the University of Idaho, where she met the love of her life, Leonard Miller.  Darlene and Leonard married on January 2, 1960 in Kellogg, Idaho.   

During their long and loving marriage, Darlene and Leonard crossed the country, residing in North Carolina, New Jersey, California, and Texas.    Along the way, they started a family that Darlene raised, including two daughters and two sons. They resided for many years in Tomball, Texas and more recently in Wimberley Texas.

Larry Robert Foreman

Larry Robert Foreman, died on Friday, September 25, 2015 of Alzheimer’s disease complications at the Eden Hill Communities in New Braunfels, TX after residing at Brookdale Asst. Living in New Braunfels for almost five years. He was born on May 2, 1940 in Vestaburg, MI to Robert W. Foreman and Verda Mae Morey. Larry graduated in 1958 from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant, MI, attended one year of college at Central Michigan University and then joined the Air Force from 1959 to 1964. He served in Las Vegas, NV, as an Airman 2nd class, repairing electrical navigation equipment. He then moved to Maryland, graduated from the Capitol Institute of Technology in Washington, D.C., with a BSET in 1969.  He was an electronic engineer for Sperry at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland in the optics lab from 1969-1977.

Edith M. Crisp

Edith M. Crisp, 101, of Wimberley, TX, formerly of San Marcos, TX passed away on Monday, September 14th in Wimberley.  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18th at the Driftwood Cemetery in Driftwood, TX.

Robert Hauenstein

Robert Hauenstein passed away peacefully on September the 17th from complications resulting from dementia. He is survived by his wife Linda Hauenstein, three sons Bobby and Ricky Hauenstein, Frank and wife Brooke Herrada, one daughter Diane and husband Tom Carruthers. Nine grandchildren Trey, Jake, Maia, Thomas, Chloe, Liam, Lorelei, Samantha and Eli. Four sisters Sheila Rowe, Sherri Downing, Dixie Hauenstein and Roxie and husband Larry Martin.

Pamela Sue Doucet

Pamela Sue Doucet, 63, of Wimberley, Tx, graduated to Heaven, August 10, 2015 at her home. She was born on November 4, 1951 to Shirley Jean Maricle and Brown Maricle in Oakdale, Louisiana.

She will be remembered by those who grew to love her for her devotion to her family, friends and to her love of her former students at Wimberley Independent School District and also for the foster children she touched.

John William Graddy

On July 31, John ended his journey on this earth to enter his heavenly home. He was born on April 7, 1940, to Duane Coley and Kathleen McDermott Graddy in Beaumont, Texas. He lived and went to school in South Park where he graduated from SPHS in 1958 and received a degree in Mathematics from Lamar University in 1962.

Laverne Young

Laverne Young of Wimberley, Texas, loving and cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on August 13, 2015, at the age of 83.  

She is survived by her children, James Kirtland,  Cindy Ferguson, Bruce Ferguson, Darrell Ferguson  and Theresa Goodnight; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by two sons, John Kirtland and Barry Ferguson.

Laverne retired from Hays County after many years.  She will be dearly missed by her family who will carry her in their hearts always.

Graveside Services were held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Hugo Cemetery in Wimberley, Texas.

Jeanelle Thompson Street

Jeanelle Thompson Street passed away July 19, 2015.  She was born at home on August 18, 1930, in the Blue Grove Community, Clay County, Texas.  Her parents were H.O. and Ruth Thompson.  In 1940 the family moved to Plainview, Texas.  

She graduated from Texas Tech University in January 1953, where she met and later married Ben Street in 1954.  They lived briefly in Midland TX, Alexandria VA, Ft. Stewart GA, and Dallas TX before they moved to Perryton TX where they remained until 2004 when they retired to Wimberley TX.   

She taught in Perryton schools for 26 years, in Home Economics and Family Living.  She was very active in the Trinity Presbyterian Church and other community organizations.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Gayle Thompson and Pat Thompson.
