A house in Woodcreek on Augusta Drive has fallen into disrepair after a decade of being forgotten. The city of Woodcreek is now taking matters into its own hands to bring the house back up to safety standards.
“When one house is allowed to deteriorate, it affects the values of every other home on the block, neighborhood and community, and so they enact laws that require the expected level of care,” Woodcreek City Manager John Sone said.

From Staff Reports

Spring has arrived and so has the time for a city-wide cleanup day in Wimberley. Residents are invited to get a jump start on their Spring cleaning by taking part in the event on Saturday, April 19.
“This is a great opportunity for Wimberley residents to drop off those unwanted bulky items that normally would not get picked up at the curb by the City’s garbage contractor,” said Wimberley Mayor Bob Flocke. “This free solid waste collection event is being provided for those who receive City garbage service.”

Jimmy Dean ‘truely amazing’

From Staff Reports

The first thing you’ll notice when you sit down for the Wimberley Player’s latest show “Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean” is the set. But it’s truly amazing to watch how the actors use it throughout the play.
“Five and Dime” is a somewhat hard to follow, but touching tale of a group of women who were once a part of a James Dean fan club coming back for a reunion 20 years after the death of their idol.

By Sharon Carter

After all, “The Dude abides.”
