Walter Alvah Davis

Walter Alvah Davis, born October 23, 1942, passed away peacefully at his home in Wimberley, Tx on March 11, 2016.
Walt was born in Beaumont, Tx and spent most of his life in League City, Tx, graduating from Clear Creek High School in 1961 where both of his parents were on faculty. After attending college at Lamar University and serving in the United States Air Force, Walt began his career in the chemical industry, eventually retiring from LyondellBasell in La Porte, Tx in 2008.
After retirement, Walt and his wife moved to Wimberley in 2009, along with his beloved dog Sadie Fay. Walt enjoyed his years of retirement travelling, reading and spending time with his family, along with the occasional trip to the casino. He was an active member of the Sam Houston Corvette Club where he shared his love of Corvettes and speed with fellow enthusiasts.

Mary Ann Wortham

Mom, Mimi and friend passed away Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Kindred Hospital Bay Area surrounded by family. She was 85 years four months and eight days. Mary Ann was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Wimberley, Texas with husband Gene Wortham in 1991 after retirement.
One of her passions in life was playing the piano; she taught piano lessons for many years and played the piano/ organ for Glendale Baptist Church until retirement and then Chapel In The Hills in Wimberley, Texas where she also was involved in playing the Bells.
She is survived by daughter; Melodie Ballew of Alpine, CA., sons; David Wortham and wife Betty of Seabrook, Texas, Dan Wortham of New Caney, Texas. Also survived by five wonderful grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Inge Frieda Mezger Hawkins

Inge Frieda Mezger Hawkins was born on June 12, 1930 in Stuttgart, Germany. She died February 25, 2016 at home in Wimberley, Texas. Her parents were Rudolf F. Mezger and Aususte (Uhrig) Mezger. On August 6, 1976, Inge married George J. Hawkins, “the love of my life”. Inge retired in 1990 from Sun Harvest Grocery’s bakery department and moved to Wimberley in 1991 which reminded her so much of Germany.
After moving to Wimberley, Inge and George became very involved members of VFW Post 6441 where she received Special Recognition for Exceptional Service. She and George developed many good friendships with the members of VFW 6441.

Jean Robinson

Jean Bode Robinson, 68, of Wimberley, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Austin, TX. She is survived by her husband Bill Robinson; daughter & son-in-law Pamela & Joel Brush of Ontario, Canada; son Robert Inks of Junction, TX; and daughter & son-in-law Robyn & Andrew Sheehan of Osan, South Korea; grandchildren Madelyn & Gregory Brush, Dalton Inks, & Genevieve, Elsie and Reid Sheehan. Elaine E. Marriott

Elaine E. Marriott, 94 of Wimberley died Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Kyle. She was born February 3, 1922 in Coahoma, Texas.
Elaine was a lifelong Christian. She joined the Baptist Church as a child and later in Houston joined the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lockhart.
In Wimberley she was a special friend to Barbara Dobbs and attended a Tuesday morning Bible Study at the Wimberley Christian Church.
She is survived by daughters, Londa (Autry) Burns of Wimberley, Patricia (Charles) Harper of Carencro, Louisiana. Granddaughters Nancy (David) Lowe of Wimberley, Linda Reams of Austin. Grandson, Steve (Erica) Burns of Austin and Susan (Russell) Faul of Mesa, AZ and 7 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date. Harrell Funeral Home in charge of cremation arrangements.

Born on August 8, 1937 in Brenham, TX to Nancy and Stanley Rybarski.

Bruno lived life to the fullest for 78 years, 6 months and 6 days. He lost his fight with cancer and leukemia on February 14, 2016 at home, just where he wanted to be surrounded by the love of his family in Huntsville, TX.

Bruno is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret Johnson Rybarski, Huntsville, TX.

Also survived by his children: Mike and Carol Rybarski, Wimberley TX; Shelly Rybarski Hicks, Deer Park TX; Brian and Lisa Lucas, Willis TX; Carrie and Robert Wyatt, Huntsville TX.

Beverley Chuber

Beverley Hayes Chuber of Wimberley, Texas, passed away on 1/16/16 at the age of 93. Her peaceful passing resulted from a fall at home on Jan. 11th.

Beverley was born in Houston, Texas on 10/19/22 to her parents Edwin & Rosalie Hayes. She is survived by her husband Frank Chuber, Sons Brit Clayton and his wife Peggy of Austin, Texas, and Wade Clayton of Meadow, Lakes Alaska. She is survived by Grandsons Cody Clayton and Gordon Clayton of Austin; Granddaughter Iann Clayton in Lyon, Colorado; and great grandchildren Jonathon, Jackson and Joey Clayton.

Throughout her life Beverley served as a conduit of God’s love and wisdom and was regarded by many as Mother, Aunt & Grandmother. She mentored, ministered to, and uplifted those around her. Her faith in the Lord could not be compromised, and all that knew her loved her.
