Dermot Doyle, 91, of Wimberley passed away at home on September 5th, 2017. He was born in 1925 to William Doyle and Martha Warsin Doyle in Chicago, Illinois. Along with his sisters, Luena and Martha, Derm enjoyed growing up in such a vibrant city along the shores of Lake Michigan. After graduating from Waller High School, he joined the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Albe Marle during World War II.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Derm continued his studies through the GI Bill and graduated from Northwestern University, later earning a master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He served many years working for the US government in Europe, first in Paris and then in Madrid. He was married twice, first to Raquel Lopez and, after her passing, to Carlota Vasquez, whom he survived. Each marriage, of many years, was to a lovely person.
